I must tell you how I feel
thinking of you in between
a ton of stuff to do
wondering
if you are thinking
what I am thinking
And if you are writing a poem
what is your pulse beat
is it love
is it infatuation
that might fade away someday
thinking back: what was I
thinking
is it love or infatuation
and when you write a poem
if you are thinking about
the words I would lay
on the page like a beige
satin sheet on a bed
